Rangers Apprentice: Alyss Mainwaring [ENTJ]

Extroverted Thinking (Te): Alyss approaches any situation she faces with calm objective analysis. She refers to the facts first, looking for evidence of her Ni theories before accepting them. Alyss figures out how the night warrior illusion is done faster than Will, systematically assessing the facts while following up on her original hunch. Alyss is almost constantly composed, presenting herself to others as confident and assertive. She has a clear understanding of the cause and effect of diplomacy and the complex hierarchy that is essential to her work as a diplomatic courier.

Introverted Intuition (Ni): Alyss deals easily in the realm of supposition. She finds it simple to imagine and understand scenarios that she hasn't experience firsthand making her a convincing actress. Her focus compliments Wills Ne and together they cover possibilities efficiently without becoming too narrow minded or too indecisive. Alyss asses scenario by complimenting her Ni instincts with Te. Alyss's first hunch about the night warrior illusion was correct and she understands the ins and outs of Sir Keren's psychology before she gets any input from him verbally.

Extroverted Sensing (Se): While Alyss isn't a warrior, she is comfortable with wielding a dagger when dangerous circumstances arise. She rides well and throws herself into performances like her Lady Gwendolyn impression with gusto. From a young age Alyss moved with grace and poise and act quickly on the Ni hunches that she is confident in.

Introverted Feeling (Fi): Alyss is a balanced representative of the ENTJ type. Far from bossing people around, she is a natural diplomat. She treats the people around her, whether she knows them personally or not, with kind consideration. However, she also treats others with the firmness of a Te/Fi, accepting no argument when she knows she is in the right. Alyss tries repeatedly to get Sir Kerren to turn away from his path of treachery, not just for her own sake, but for his. When he asks her to marry him however, she refuses without hesitation, standing firm on the personal conviction that she wculd never marry a traitor, especially one that she does not love. It is obvious that Alyss cares deeply for Will but it takes allot to make her tell him. While Will  the Ti/Fe doesn't want to confess his feelings for her because he fears rejection, Alyss the Te/Fi hesitates because she wants she wants to get the facts straight ("Did he really say 'I love you' or did I imagine it?")

I wrote the most for the inferior function. That's a new one.

While some might type Alyss as an ENFJ because she is such a good diplomat, I only see Te/Fi for her. It's actually really cool to see a character I can type as an ENTJ without talking about them being arrogant and bossy at times. Because lets face it, bossiness is a major NTJ trap.
